Real Time OS Embedded Software Development Engineer M/F

Its mission is design, manufacture, commissioning and marketing of radio systems for Air Traffic Control (ATC) and the navy, both in civil and military fields. We are looking for an R&D Engineer expert in embedded software development in a real-time operating system environment.



Job description

As a member of the R&D department composed of 18 engineers, your main missions will be:

  • Write the software specifications, in conjunction with the hardware development team, and the justification files (choice of architecture, software standard, operational safety)
  • Ensure compliance with the deadlines imposed by the project and report to the Head of Studies and Development
  • Carry out the development, fine-tuning, deployment of new embedded software solutions
  • Prototype, test, validate and optimize the performance of part or all of an embedded software application
  • Study and define the architecture of embedded software on real-time OS in multi-processor environments (µC, DSP, FPGA, …)
  • Explore and define architecture of mixed digital and analog board in synchronization with other R&D department (SW, RF …).
  • Identify and choose the strategic component (processor, memory, signal converter, power supply management …)



Education/Experience

M/F with a High School degree or similar, you have a 5 years minimum experience in embedded software development with real-time OS.


Job Requirements

Your expert skills that are required for this mission are mainly:

  • C/C++ programming in the embedded and application domain (Qt Framework, scripting, …)
  • Mastery of design cycles (V cycle, specifications, SDR, CDR, PDR, etc.)
  • Mastery of the software development process (AGILE, iterative and incremental method, V cycle, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of the field of digital components (processors, microcontrollers, FPGAs, memories, fast converters, etc.)
  • Skills in digital and analog electronics

The following technical skills would be appreciated:

  • Green Hills Operating System (Integrity)
  • Embedded Linux and U-Boot
  • ARM Cortex-A and ARM Cortex-M technology
  • NXP i.MX8 series processors
  • Front-end, Web HMI / Javascript
  • Knowledge in securisation on embedded systems, cybersecurity
  • Knowledge of mixed components: transceiver IC, FPGA, DSP, ADC, DAC, …
  • Electronic design standards (DO-178B/C, …)


 

You are a team player and self-motivated. You are a rigorous collaborator and have an analytical mind. You have the ability to grasp and adapt to new technologies and concepts quickly.


Fluent oral and written English skill is needed, French highly appreciated.

DIGITAL and ANALOG ELECTRONIC ENGINEER M/F

We are looking for an R&D Engineer who is an expert in Digital Signal Processing applied to RF communications.


Job description


As a member of the R&D department composed of 18 engineers, your main missions will be:

  • Explore and define architecture of mixed digital and analog board in synchronization with other R&D department (SW, RF …).
  • Specify the hardware in collaboration with the SW team, provide justification for the design (component choice, architecture definition, security and reliability demonstration …)
  • Identify and choose the strategic component (processor, memory, signal converter, power supply management …)
  • Design the board with a cost objective (DtC)
  • Participate to design choice with environmental constraints requirements (heat dissipation, power consumption, EMC, …)
  • Draw the schematic and provide all relevant data for the PCB routing phase, in line with the R&D process
  • Follow and provide support to the board routing phase
  • Prepare the test plan for the development of the board
  • Conduct the test and validation phase of the board or product
  • Provide all data as defined in the process to the manufacturing department for the production phase of the board (BOM, manufacturing test tree, participate to test method and equipment choice …)
  • Make sure that the planning provided by the project team is in line with milestone and report to the R&D manager


Education/Experience


M/F with a High School degree or similar, you have a 5 years minimum experience in mixed digital and analog electronic design.


Job Requirements


Your expert skills that are required for this mission are mainly:

  • Strong knowledge in mixed digital and analog electronic design
  • Strong background in digital component (processor, FPGA, memory, signal converter …)
  • Experience in R&D development cycle (V model, DSD, CDR, PDR, …)
  • Strong skills with electronic design tools: simulator for high speed signal integrity  (Cadence PCB High Speed, OrCAD Sigrity…) and analog (Spice …), configuration tools provided by manufacturer (NXP, XILINX, …)
  • Perfect know-how of digital and analog measurement tool to validate the board (oscilloscope, digital and bus analyzer, spectrum and noise analyzer, …)

The following technical skills would be appreciated:

  • Experience in product design and industrialization
  • Mixed digital/analog environment knoxledge in the radiocommunication domain
  • i.MX8 processor from NXP
  • Board design tool from Cadence (OrCAD Capture, Allegro PCB Editor, CIS, …)
  • Knowledge of mixed RF/analog/digital components : IC transceiver, RFSoC, ADC/DAC, FPGA, DSP, …
  • environments for board and products
  • Competence in embedded software (Linux, µC firmware) and application software development (Qt, scripting…)
  • Electronic design standard (DO-254 …)
